Shelby Calvin Stone, 81, of Monticello, formerly of Lancaster, husband of Cheryl Wright Stone, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Somerset. Born on Sunday, January 22, 1939 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Homer Carlisle & Gladys Poynter Stone. Shelby worked in construction as an operating engineer after honorably serving in the United States Army. He was in the Laurel County Shrine Club & was a Free mason. He was also a member of White Lick Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife Cheryl, include a son, Jesse Mullins, of Jackson, Missouri; daughters, Dusty (Bruce) Wright & Dawn (David) Harmon, both of Monticello; grandchildren, Landon & Leigha Crutcher, Lauren Harmon, Bobbie Jo & Dyson Mullins, Ava, Lillie, Ariana, Jace, & Elijah Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Caswell Saufley Post # 18 of the American Legion. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until service time on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the funeral home.
