Norman D. Oliver, 78 of Garrard County, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. Born Thursday, September 19, 1940 in Madison County, he was a son of the late Bro. Zora & Della Moore Oliver. Norman was a building contractor, a partner in Danny Irvin Realtors, a U.S. Army veteran & a valued employee of Ramsey-Young Funeral Home for many years. He was also a Deacon of Hyattsville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Oliver.Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Barbara Sebastian Oliver; son, Kevin Douglas (Deanna) Oliver; daughter, Rhonda Oliver; sister, Phyllis Butner, & grandson, Matthew Oliver, all of Lancaster. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 03, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Durham & Rev. Jerry Browning officiating, with a private burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 PM Sunday, December 02, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Hyattsville Baptist Church. I have good memories of Norman and his family, both wile growing up and as an adult. When he was first married he refinished an oak table for my mother and dad and did and excellent job. Dear family, I am sorry for your loss.
