Frances Elveree Wilson

Frances Elveree Wilson, 90, of Lancaster, passed away at her home on Danville Street, Sunday, March 15, 2015.  Born August 19, 1924, in Madison County, she was a daughter of the late William A. & Eula Brown Cotton.  She was a member of the Lancaster Methodist Church, enjoyed crocheting, reading & golfing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert M.Wilson, a sister; Catherine Craft & five brothers; Charlie, Robert, John, Handy, & Acey Cotton.

Survivors include  two sons; Gilbert Donald Wilson of Orlando, Florida, David Wilson of Lancaster, a daughter; Dr. Diane Wilson of Lexington, a grand-child; Logan Scott Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM Graveside at Lancaster Cemetery with Rev. Bob Coppings Officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may go to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

    Coming to Aunt Rea’s house always meant a loving welcome and never left hungry! We will miss you but we are better for having you in our lives and fond memories will linger always.

    I remember ‘with pleasure’ … visits to Rea’s house with first husband, Edwin Wilson, … and … second husband, Wm. A (Bill ) Wilson . I am grateful to have had the privilege of experiencing her ‘warm hospitality’ … over MANY years … of occasional ‘contact’ !!     Diane, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I always loved walking home from grade school with you and you would invite me in for Jello Chocolate Instant Pudding! Your mom was always gracious to me when we popped in!! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    She was truly a lady. She was one of the nicest persons I ever knew . She will be truly missed. She loved Logan so much. She always looked forward to him spending the summers with her when he was small. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
