Florence “Sissie” McCane

Florence “Sissie” McCane, 91, of Lancaster, passed away December 25, 2020 in Marion County at the Village of Lebanon Center. Born April 9, 1929 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence & Jean Thompson Naylor. She had been a longtime employee at Cowden’s Manufacturing and was a member of the Forks of Dix River Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; James Harvey McCane, son; Danny McCane, two brothers, George Naylor, J.K. Naylor, five sisters; Lula Montgomery, Marie Merchant, Irene Durham, Gladys Durham, Mary Francis Irvin.

Her survivors include a sister, Wilma Wagner of Washington state and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM—12:30 Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home followed by a burial at 1:00 PM in Danville Memorial Gardens. In accordance with state mandates, facial coverings and proper social distancing practices are required to attend the visitation.
