Thinking of you all (Debbie, Dylan, Douglas, Joe & Taylor) during this difficult week. Billie was a kind and gracious presence in so many lives. She had a distinguished career at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was a founding inspiration for the Winkler Center for the History of the Health Professions. And we will all miss her wonderful giggle! A life well lived.

To Billie’s Family: You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of Billie. Billie loved each of you and wanted the best for all of you. She worked hard in her life to become the significant person that she was. At the University of Cincinnati she was effective in developing the history of medicine library that turned into the Winkler Center for the Health Professions. She was a wonderful co-worker and a very good friend. I send you my prayers and best wishes for your future.

I just found out Billie Katherine passed away – we were distant cousins and growing up, we were close and I thought the world of her. I am certain the family knows this – you have lost a most wonderful person. My sincerest condolences – God bless.

I was a high school intern at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Library in 1964 and 1965 and Billie was very kind and helpful. She took extra time to insure I was comfortable and understood how things worked.

I knew Billie Broaddus in Lexington when she worked at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Library from 1965-1969. She was my neighbor and dear friend. She was more than an friend to my son and me for the time when I divorced my husband. She was a true and loyal friend.
